Beloved shadow of mine

needs no light to twinkle bright

always there at any time

not a he

not a she

guardian angel by my side.

My shadow is as well

my brother, sister, mom and dad

and my mistress too

old nightingale

all night and day

giving me the eye.

O beloved shadow!

My silence is so yours

your silence is so mine.

I'll shout unto the Lord

just before death rattles in my throat

“let my shadow be my spouse

for us to be not two but one

and when passion swells

just one shadow we will be

one large shadow

much bigger than life

and as short as eternity!”.
